Strong Little Barrier Fall Down

Suffocating inside this barrier

Scared to come out,

And get some air

Afraid that as soon as I step out

I might find the light so much better

Scared to change who I am

Even if it's for the best

I'll just stay cooped up in this barrier

Waiting for someone

To walk right through it

I stare and watch as people walk by

Not caring to break down my barrier

I tell myself it's fine

What did you expect

But I had only hoped

That maybe just one person

Would care for me

For just this once
