Poetry is a form of art

Something that comes

From your very heart

It doesn’t have to rhyme

To get your feelings right

Just close your eyes

And write from

You’re very heart

If you’re happy

Write how your smile

Never fades

If you’re sad

Write about the tears

That are nonstop

If you’re broken

Write about how

 Your heart crumbles

Every time you see

His smile

If you’re in love

Write about how

He makes your heart soar

Just look deep within yourself

And vent your feelings a little

Sometimes people need

Someone to listen

Someone to understand

Sometimes people need to explain

What can’t be explained verbally

I loved this poem!
So true...poetry is a way to express things that may embarrass you if you told someone.
I like the part about it doesn't have to rhyme because everyone tries to make their poems rhyme, but they don't need to.
