A Voice In The Distance

The summer sun
Hot upon my brow
Sweat streaming down my face,
I hear a voice in the distance,

In the cold winters brisk,
Seeing my breath vapor in the air,
Shivering as my fingers go numb,
I hear a voice in the distance,

In the spring with new fragrance in the air,
The budding of the flowers,
And the songs of the birds,
I hear a voice in the distance,

And in the fall
With death all around
Rainy days lie ahead
I hear a voice in the distance.

This voice that I hear
But cannot understand,
Keeps calling me
But that is all in the distance.

wow... i dont know what to say other than that this poem is a very deep poem. such longing to know the knowledge of that voice, but yet a sence of fear at the same time. odd. i love it. it has also inspired me to wright a new one, but for now im going to just finish up putting my already written poetry onto mine.
