Absence Of Light

Absence Of Light

A Poem by Milena Grubor

When my flesh turns to dust and fades,
Remember the fire that once swayed.
The winds will carry my soul through the trees,
I am the rustling leaves that whisper in the freeze.

I am the thousand winds that scream,
The shattered glass of a broken dream.
Close your eyes, let no sorrow stain the night,
For I am reborn in the absence of light.

I am the blood that stains the moon,
The silence that hums a haunting tune.
Do not mourn, for I am free,
Lost beyond what eyes can see.

Let crows dance in the dying glow,
I am the echo in the river’s flow.
I am the storm that tears the night,
Where life and death merge in endless flight.
