Vengeance

Vengeance

A Poem by Milena Grubor

She danced with the dark, beneath stars that gleamed,
In hollow silence, her heart’s cold dream.
A dreamer forsaken, lost in her plight,
Claiming her throne in the heart of the night.

The man she adored, turned beast in disguise,
A tyrant in shadows, with hollowed eyes.
Violent and cruel, he ravaged her soul,
A heart torn asunder, beyond her control.

Her hands, once bound by promises weak,
Now grasp the fire that no one can seek.
From the depths of despair, a scream does arise,
A call to the storm that darkens the skies.

The monster who tore her, who fed on her fear,
Shall pay the price, for death is near.
For tyranny ends where the weak once cried,
And in its place, the vengeful rise.
