As The Seasons ChangeA Poem by Milena Grubor
They
gather once like trees aligned, With whispered oaths and roots entwined. But seasons shift and tempests rise, And bonds dissolve beneath cold skies. Each
leaf once clung with life and flame, Now falls untouched, without a name. They spin through dusk in silent flight, Then vanish deep into the night. The
bough once full is stripped and bare, No laughter sways the bitter air. Where voices rang, now silence grows, The frost returns, the cold wind knows.
No
thread holds fast, no tie is sworn, All things shall fade, all ties be torn. For even stars in blackness bend, And all must leave, and all must end.
