Dear SisterA Poem by Milena Grubor
Dear sister, when I saw you today, There was a shadow that held you at bay. Not the weight of past sorrow you knew, But something deeper, pulling you through. I felt it too, sharp and cruel, As if your pain had made me its fool.
You
think your dreams have slipped from sight, But I know they’ll return with the light. I will stand by you through each fight, And bring you back to what is right. The year may end, but hope will rise, And every wish will soon be realized.
When
the new year dawns, fresh and pure, You’ll breathe again, your heart secure. No more skeletons hidden in your past, No more wolves waiting to harass. What you desire, you’ll soon embrace, Free from the chains, you’ll find your place.
Your
hands will lift with strength anew, Your spine will rise, no longer skewed. You’ll build the life you dream to see, Turning each moment into destiny. You will build a home on a land you own, Every step forward, your future grown.
No
longer bound by false belief, You’ll shape your world with endless relief. Health will follow, your spirit will sing, The wind will carry your heart on its wing. In January’s arms, no sorrow, no tear, Only joy, only love, only cheer.
No
more darkness, no more pain, Just peace, and sunlight through the rain. Your soul will rise, your heart will soar, And you will find what you’re searching for. Dear sister, the world will be yours, As you walk through life, forever restored.
