He Is the Devil

He Is the Devil

A Poem by Milena Grubor

Beneath the moon's cold, silver gaze,
He walks, the master of the haze.
A shadow deep, a burning flame,
Whose whispered words undo my name.

I wandered lost through mortal night,
Till eyes of fire consumed my sight.
A crimson grin, a dark delight,
And I, undone, am lost to night.

He drapes the world in velvet gloom,
And calls me to my silent tomb.
No mortal chain, no heaven's light,
Can wrest me from his endless night.

Forever bound, I kneel and yearn,
To feel the dark, to twist and turn.
His laughter hums in every vein,
A melody of bliss and pain.

O devil, lord of shadowed seas,
In your abyss I bend my knees.
I do not flee, I do not cry,
I am yours, beneath the black sky.

The dark side has a mysterious quality to it many are interested in knowing more about. Your words show that quality for this one who rules the night.

Milena, lately I have found myself frequently checking for anything new from you. You are like a guilty pleasure, your work a dark beauty offered by no one else. As usual, with this poem you do not disappoint.
