"Death's Beloved" Written By Milena Grubor

A Poem by Milena Grubor

The night unthreads my breathing soul,
A velvet ache I can’t control.
The stars fade out, their embers cold,
A truth the darkness keeps untold.

A whisper winds along my spine,
A hush that tastes of blood and wine.
A voice I know in every tone,
A chill that claims me as its own.

A call drifts through the deepened gloom,
Between the pulse of life and doom.
A presence crowned in quiet flame
Leans close and speaks my dying name.
