You had a whole pack of "gum" anyway

I was like the gum
That you chewed on every day
I thought that you needed me
And you wanted me to stay

But just like the gum
I lost my delicious flavour
You didn't want me when I was empty
You wanted something to savour

So you chewed me up and spat me out
"Like I was poison in your mouth"
You didn't even turn back
After all, you had a whole pack

I liked the poem, and the subtext is clear; all i could say is that you could lengthen the poem a bit, but apart from that just keep up the good writing and i look forward to reading your other work.
