Drowning

No waves,
light glitters on the 
dark surface. 
A girl floats in 
the water. Her long
hair hovers around 
her head like a halo. 
Water laps lightly on
her face, neck, and breasts.
The darkness moves
flooding over her face. 
She is gone. 
Swallowed by the sea.
