Stay Watching

Old one... Was I obsessed with someone? lol

I spy because I can
and because you can't tell.
You may sense my eyes on your back,
but when you turn no one is there.
I'm behind dark windows
or talking to a friend
or I've moved on so fast.
Maybe you will catch me
it's a risk that is half the fun,
and when or if you do
I doubt it will be so bad
for me to confess the truth.
Until then I am perfectly content
to just stay watching.
