Barthes the agoraphobe

Barthes the agoraphobe

A Poem by Wildheart
"

Too much time indoors over the new year left me wondering what could make me go outside again and who would read the semiotics of my soul

"

skin like a sandpaper mask

it suffers for my fears

outside is too complex to achieve beauty

the stars report positivity

they would

bad news only sells on the front page

deserted by all but a haze of smoke

i watch the clock for my future to change

tasting the vodka in your spit

let's get drunk on each others tongues

semiology is not for the weak

it takes a hardy heart to address the interpretation of my signals

you're not it
