Four-Hundred-EightyA Poem by scarlynn
"Coming up the stairs,
up and up and up the stairs" coldness covered my arms, my heart lifted. I wondered what the name of her lipstick was. I wondered if she wanted kids. I thought of her kids coming up and up the stairs. Rambunctious and oafish. I saw myself running up the stairs, I saw myself looking down the stairs. Either way, I saw no one.
