failed Samwise, 
failed student, 
successful sneak. 

I knew you'd cheat on your fiancé.

This poem is blistering in its honesty. The rhythm feels like a heartbeat speeding through grief, rage, and release. That final stanza “none of this comes without a price”, lingers like a truth too long ignored. Powerful work.

As life goes on, experiences become a suit of armour. Each upset becomes an example of 'how to cope next time' and - that way, is ready and waiting to be more than a best friend. Fine writing with little or no drama but, the sadness shows. Hopefully it has or will fade as time passes.
