(detective morris at his desk)

DETECTIVE MORRIS

(looks up at Elena GOMEZ)

Ma’am, I assure you that we are trying our best to find your daughter. I have my best people on the case right now looking all over La Paz and the nearby counties. 


ELENA GOMEZ

(looks at morris crying)

Detective, please hurry to help my mija from whatever has happened to her. I miss my little girl so much. 


DETECTIVE MORRIS

(looks at ELENA)

Ma’am, we are working on it. Please go back home and we will notify you when we find something. 


(shifts to miguel and morris in morris’s office)

(wide angle of the office)


DETECTIVE MORRIS

(looks at Miguel)

Miguel, when was the last time you saw Riley Gomez?


MIGUEL

(shakes his head)

Detective Morris, I’ve told you already. I saw her last Friday after school at her house. We were hanging out watching her mom cook dinner.
