Crush, HelpA Story by Marie Kinnett
Every morning sitting there, I see him.
Every morning I say hi. We are all friends here sitting at this table recounting what happened the previous day. I glance over to see his reaction and he smiles back at me. He asks how my day went. Genuinely cares for my responses, I tell him about what I did with my siblings. He laughs and smiles when I say something funny. Boy, I can't stop thinking about him. Valentines had happened and I knew I should try to shoot my shot. Got him something not too romancey but just enough so that maybe he would get the hint. Not knowing how to tell him the truth, I chicken out. Four day weekend and I didn't get to find out his reaction to the Valentine gift. Stupid school for making us not have school. Maybe I should try to tell him how I feel when I see him Wednesday. I see him in the hallway he glances at me, sends a quick smile my way and turns back to his friends. Walking down the hall, I start to smile to myself, getting happy and knowing that he just made my day. Going to class, I think about how we eat breakfast together every morning with our friends. I wait till he shows up, knowing he will ask about my day or how my weekend was. We talk about how schoolwork is going and listen to our friends crazy dreams. I don't know what to do guys. Does anyone have any thoughts. Should I tell him and risk the friendship or not
