Boredom

Boredom

A Poem by Marie Kinnett

I sit here and twiddle my thumbs
swinging my legs and feet
wondering what to do
so bored out of my mind

Time trickles like sand
Each second feeling like a minute
Time taking its toll on the mind
Feels like I'm going insane
Slowly but surely

A thread being pulled
slowly unraveling
a pool at my feet

My brain and thoughts fighting
boxing it out for the top spot
The racing need to stand right up
Trying to fight the bore
of the thought in my head
