I went and shared my heart 

Lost it in the emotion

Got all so happy 

Just to find out

He doesn't want it known

For his friends to not see

Ended up taking my heart

Only for a week

Secretly waiting to break it apart

Now I know what is not known

So I slammed the door

Just before he could 

Broke my heart for me rather than letting him

Told him we are done 

Tried not to cry and hold on

He looked confused like what did you know

I wont hold you back

So we are done

Walking away I know that he is set free

But I sit broke knowing

My one chance is letting him go 

Giving up on that one love to come

Maybe one day there will be someone 

But until that day comes
