Draggin'A Poem by M Lamont
Why, when the day ends, do I find you not home?
You are gone and you have been gone
But I still feel you there
Expect you there
Wide awake in my own fogged in dream
The palpability I crave, taste and need
Is magnified with each passing day
As it is laughingly unattained
Dragging through another day without you here
The loneliness draped around me I despisingly wear
Like walking in ski boots through mud
Getting you back to me takes longer each day
