Here and NowA Poem by M Lamont
Stars united to form the perfect ceiling
Bright light fills the valley in the desert
All the glorious views that surround me
Hoping to remember so I can share them with you
The world has taken on a different hue
Not as vivid as I remember
My distracted mind needs to be reminded
The loneliness is not the nicest of companions
This purgatory existence has an end in sight
My eyes tire of looking so far ahead
I am too easily distracted of the blatant fact
You are not by my side
