Close of Summer

This is technically written in the Japanese form called tanka but that s not one of the Genres.

 

Stroll the surf once more

One more wear of the sandals

Deflate the beach ball

Put away the bathing suits

Summer will return next year

I like the set-up and the short poem. Summer maybe gone. But at least the beach is there to give a place to rest and think. A excellent poem.
