Your Light

Your Light

A Chapter by Mark Lighton

Your Light

Lonely raindrops roll down the window,
shimmering reminders of the tears I shed.
The music of the winds humming low
echoing the melody of your voice in my mind.

The landscape is painted a dreary grey.
A mist shrouds the hills like a veiled bride.
The feelings elude me more each day
From these memories of you I cannot hide.

A break in the clouds and the sun shines through,
again I see the great beacon of light.
The signal which I now know is you
and the day is brighter with your light in sight.
