A moment of clarity

The foot steps of failure quicken behind me,
shadowing an unprepared future.
Fear becomes my downfall,
as the darkness of past failure beckons during hard times.
The weight on my shoulders takes its toll,
no longer able to hold up everyone's expectations.
Innocent days of blithe collapse around me, as a future of happiness slips away from me.
Pressure feeds the growing enigma within, pulsating fear and regret through my head.
New uncertainties arrise with everyday that passes,
I look to redeem my past choices,to relieve some anxiety.
if only for a moment of clarity, to help my life make sense.
