To The Heavens

Something I wrote professing my faith in the divine.

Sometimes when I feel worthless

I decide to pull myself together

Reading from the ancient scribes

To soak up light within the tether

 

Words make my heart slowly sing

As I turn through the gilded pages

Soaking up the fulfilled mysteries

And building my heart in such stages

 

Beyond the grand of endless times

Through the blackness of tired days

Lying lazily as I slip into lulled sleep

I try to glide into the mystic haze

 

I till onwards as I seep right back

Into wondrous droughts of all new

Reading the thoughts of mystifying

Slept in the silence through and hue

 

But I head on home onto the road

Kicking my heels as I start the quest

Wondering what this might bring me

Always knowing I’m not the best

 

Through faith I will color my armor

Grace flowing from the utter belief

Believing in the divine, to this I say

Revealing my light upon this new leaf
