When Dusk Finds Its Way

A piece I wrote describing most nights dealing with intense nightmares.

Another sleepless night for me

As nightmares constantly haunt

The child inside screams insanely

When these visions come to flaunt

 

Disturbing images I cannot fight

As I sweat during the coming night

Gathering up the hallowing fright

And dreams escape into the light

 

Dread seeps on through the cracks

As drowsiness comes as I awake

Another daunting devil stems into

When everything feels like mistakes

 

Then pain courses within the heart

As I wake up pacing to the start

Numbly do I stand awaiting sharp

Demons tearing never to depart

 

Slowly I always dread the morning

As weakness comes upon my mind

With gazes from night give warning

Lazy do I awake forgetting the time
