Color of the Day

Color of the Day

A Poem by mnicorata
"

Something I came up while I was sitting outside enjoying an afternoon.

"

Bleak horizons shape and bend

Into corals rounded in colors

Fazing in and out of its glare

Showing its shine outwards

And then it separates, fragmented

Bursting out into sullen shades

Across the grayish concrete

Splaying outwards in delight

It folds in and across each other

Onto fluorescent gardens

Shattering the bluish transcription

Clouds forming cryogenic symbols

But its glare pummels the ground

Beating into the light of the day

Never swaying yet growing lightly

Happiness kept always here

In daylight hours never ceasing

Into grand moments it beckons

And on days like this

Remembering life for what it is
