The Haze

The Haze

A Poem by mnicorata
"

Sometimes we all walk in this haze that surrounds our lives like darkness.

"

Slow motion day after day

And light seeps on through

Tumbling down with others

Cracks form only with few

To bend to mold to shape

Like clocks upon a wall

A mist hovers over miles

We scramble down the hall

Darkness spreads so thin

We clamber for another day

Thunder rattles across skies

Tumble inside the horrid bay

Shivers of hope so close

But we will never know why

Tasting the mold and muck

We settle down with a sigh

No shred of hope, not ever

Shuffling down crusted aisles

This will not be over soon

As this mist travels for miles
