I'd waited for him to come back for so long, that knowing he cared was enough to help me wait a little longer.

He’s in the past now - and all my pain

Caused by him has dissipated

In the wake of your beautiful voice

Your words and tone have healed me

My heart is no longer broken - I’m safe

You’ll hold me carefully, guard me, protect me

And when the day comes, you and me

Together, hands held tight

In the starlit night, watching, happy.
