Into the Ether

Into the Ether

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Where does the time go?

"

Into the Ether

They pass in a blur, moments of time

Barely even notice, until one day

You realize with a start;

Just how many moments have flown, flown away

Into the ether, the moments disappear

Then on to the next one; then the next and the next

Not sure if they were real, or a dream,

No time to catch your breath; no time to rest

You realize there’s no way to stop it’s passing, or even slow it down

It’s going to happen; so you’d better hang on

It’ll be over before you know it,

Soon, these moment’s will be gone
