Neanderthal’s Rule!

Just saw one law maker’s answer that would

Have solved the deadly school shooting,

Arm the teachers! Now why didn’t I think of that?

He says if teachers had guns,

They could have taken the guy out

Brilliant! It’s Neanderthal thinking like that,

That will be the reason nothing ever changes,

And I’ll be writing a poem about yet-another massacre

With advice like that, we might as well just bury our heads

In the sand; and say ‘there’s nothing we can do!”

Nothing is wrong if you pretend hard enough
