Lost Among the Ruins

Lost Among the Ruins

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Wrote this while sleeping at my computer; usually a recipe for disaster, but what the hell!

"

Lost Among the Ruins

I walk, with absolutely no idea where I’m headed

Just follow my imagination; see where it takes me

It may lead me to places I’d rather not go

It may lead me to places I’ve only dreamt about

It may lead me to a sudden dead end,

Or lead me to a freeway 8 lanes wide

Only by travelling in a new direction,

will I finally find out; come on, let’s travel together;

we may get lost among the ruins, or find the road home!
