Torture-Mobile!

Torture-Mobile!

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

New arrival at Car-Sick Station!

"

Torture-Mobile!

Kaleidoscope of colors pass by outside

as you cling to the window crank with no pride

Heaving turns and dips the car seems to make

You’d be screaming, “Stop, for my stomach’s sake!”,

if only you could, but stay focused you must!

No time for chatter you, you just

about lost it back there in the turn

By the time this nightmare ride is over, you’ll need a gurn-ey

“Who’s ready for lunch back there?”

your mom asks, quite innocently; you just stare

out the window, no, bad idea that!

Someone better get ready to hose off the floor mat!

This reminds of a drive I took with my friends. The braking mechanism supposed to be for stopping and those seatbelts are supposed to be for safety!!! :D Our driver thought it was hilarious to see us move forward and backwards. It is not. Good times though. Thanks for writing this. Brings back memories. :)

Thanks Anna; yeah, I never used to get car sick before my car wreck; just another added bonus!
