Voices From Nowhere

Voices From Nowhere

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Oh, the cacophony of voices; someone make them shut up!

"

Voices From Nowhere

Hear their cries from somewhere in the dark

Cannot tell exactly where; they seem like they’re all around

They’re calling for help, yet there’s nothing I can do

to help them; poor lost souls, so lost and alone;

at least that’s how they sound, anyway

I wish I could point them in the right direction,

but alas, I cannot even see them, to show them the way

I’m feeling sorry for them, when I realize,

they’re all voices inside my head; they’re me!
