Seeing the Future

 

 

Like Mr. Scrooge in ‘A Christmas Carol’, I was given

 

a look at the future; here’s what I saw:

 

a world without war; a world without poverty;

 

a world without racial hatreds;

 

a world without bias of any kind;

 

a world of inclusiveness; a world of tolerance

 

a world of everyone being considered equal;

 

a world without religious tensions

 

I liked what I saw, but then I realized I was only dreaming,

 

and I awoke to this dreary place!

It's true we aren't perfect and we all wish the world was better. But at least we get to complain, right? The ideal world...will it ever become a reality?
