Quiet StillnessA Poem by Michael StevensA lazy summer's day at the river!Quiet Stillness
Sitting by the river on a lazy
summer’s day
watching the water roll by with
nothing much to say
Ponder the universe for empty hours
Let go of the stress, let go of the
dour,
negative thoughts that usually fill
your head,
let go of the past; let go of
stupid things you’ve said
Now is the time to look forward,
not back
As heat waves shimmer, there’s no
need to “yak, yak, yak!”
