Dreaming While Wide Awake

Did you ever think you’re awake, but apparently you’re not?

 

How else to explain your crazy actions?

 

Doing a task for several minutes it seems,

 

When suddenly the truth land on you, heavily

 

What you thought was rational, was anything but

 

You just said something so stupid, you must

 

Have been asleep while standing up, because

 

Surely (don’t call me!) that’s the only reason

 

For your brain coming off the rails

 

And once it’s out there, you can’t take it back!
