Watching My Life Go By

Sitting on the stoop in the lazy afternoon sun,

 

occasionally catching glimpses of something

 

passing at light speed; Gone in 60 Seconds

 

I think I’ll title it; slow children playing!

 

Slow down; I shout after it, but to no avail

 

It seems to be in a major hurry to get somewhere,

 

although I’ll be damned if I can tell where it’s headed
