Sweet Soul

Sweet Soul

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

A poem for someone I've lost touch with on the computer, for whatever reason

"

Like a whisper you're not sure if you heard

she was here, and then gone,

a secret ray of sunshine in a world of gray

A fleeting glimpse of her voice is all I ever saw,

and yet such a difference she made

in my life.  A long-distance friendship,

she lifted me when I was down,

and I hope, in some small way, I returned

the favor.  Meeting truly nice people in this world

is all-too rare, and she was definitely that

So I'll just say goodbye, and say thank you

It was simple yet so much grounded,I have had such a friendship indeed, which ended up in the same bittersweet vibe as your poem.
