Warning; Rough Seas Ahead!A Poem by Michael StevensLife adrift!The last days of summer fade; my thoughts turn cold;
much like the weather I know is
coming
Dispirited wind blows though the
trees, much
like it blows through my thoughts,
promising storms,
and me in nothing more than a
rowboat; it was
sunny and calm when I set out, but
now I'm
racing for the shore, in a
desperate bid to beat the
foul weather soon to surround me, with
nothing
to bail with; just my hopes and
dreams,
but I know they won't be nearly
enough, if and when
the coming storm breaks © 2013 Michael Stevens |
