On the Edge of the AbyssA Poem by Michael StevensTeetering above disaster!
Take careful steps, for you're one
step from disaster
One wrong move, and it's all she
wrote
Turn the wrong way, and it's a long
way down
Take care with your decisions,
you're balancing right
on the edge of the abyss; only
darkness below
You're working without a net, and
you're not secured
It's a treacherous accent, as you
slowly work upwards,
each handhold needs to be
well-thought out,
each step well-planned; you're just
inches from a
plunge into the dark; one wrong
step from oblivion © 2013 Michael Stevens |
