Dear Winifred; Nov. 4A Story by Michael StevensAdvice (NOT good!) column!Warning; advice given is NOT politically correct! "Dear Winifred; your advice seems so helpful
and compassionate; you must be a people person, and a caring one. You must have gone to college for years to be
so knowledgeable about so many topics.
I'd like to go to school, but my family is struggling. At times, it gets very disheartening that
I'll more than likely never get to further my education. My dream in life is to help people, just like
you do; signed Wishful Thinking."
"Dear Wishful Thinking; is there a
question in there somewhere, anywhere?
No? Look, the only school I've
been to is Hard Knocks U. I graduated on
May 5, and by the 7th, my life was circling the drain, so quit whining; if you
want something, grab it by the balls.
Learning doesn't always have to come from a book, you know. Some people aren't cut out for college, or
they can't follow a concept with a flashlight and a fricking map, and you sound
like one of those; take heart however, if I can do it, so can you, more than
likely. Winifred." © 2013 Michael Stevens |
