Silent Voice

To the departed, for whatever reason

 

Echoes of a voice, now forever silent;

 

no longer to answer when I call

 

I never had the privilege of meeting you face-to-face;

 

I only knew you electronically and from afar,

 

but your words touched my life in so many ways

 

So strange how someone you never met in person

 

can have such an impact on your life,

 

from so far away
