Heartbreaking scenes of neglect, of attention-starved

 

pets are much too common a picture

 

I fail to understand why someone adopts a pet,

 

then ignores it, or worse, treats it like s**t

 

If you don't want to act like a human,

 

don't ruin some sweet pet's life by adopting it

 

The pet doesn't understand when you've had a bad day,

 

all they want is affection; I really don't pretend

 

to understand you; to me, it's the height of self-centeredness!
