What's Wrong With This Picture?
A Poem by Michael Stevens
Greed Unchecked
Sad faces on a sad channel of the
weeping T.V.
They want all the blame heaped on
the backs
of the less fortunate; completely
out of touch
with the common man; for
everything's their fault,
is it not? One political party has their hearts in the wrong place, supported by Wall Street wiz kids who say, "They should take a Lear jet to the Cayman
Islands,
since while they're there, they can
visit their money,
that is ours now, thanks to
generous bonuses
that we earned; well, not earned exactly,
but was owed and promised to us;
we got ours
and the hell with you!"

Define greed for me Michael... Who defines greed? Those that run a successful business or those wealthy politicians that got rich off of our backs? At least those in the business world earned it...

These people think they're entitled to the money, regardless of what happens to the company. I guess I define greed, when I see some of the outlandish and self-absorbed bullshit that goes on.

According to "O" business is booming. Now back to politicians getting rich off the backs of We the People. Isn't that where the problem lies? And yes "O" is in that mix.

A.. read moreThe Donald Trump's of the world are exactly the problem; money's all powerful, money over people. And, he kept accusing the president of not being an American citizen, even in the face of proof to the contrary. What he was saying was a lie, he knew it was a lie, yet he kept repeating the lie because the media treated it like there was some question. It focused the attention squarely on where he wanted it; on himself. I personally don't understand treating Trump like he's someone to be admired. Sure, he's rich and a good businessman, but on compassion for and understanding others, he's a complete knob, and an embarrassment to anyone with a brain!
So, you're in the camp of people who got wealthy, and more power to them, taking advantage of all our government has to offer, roads, railroads, planes, and more, and saying, "I used our system to get mine; I'm going to keep every cent, and I'm not going to use my wealth to help anybody else. I was a hard worker (and lucky), and I don't see why everybody else can't do the same."

You see right now The debate on the hill And coming to New York City Is income equality. What has occurred No thanks to Liberal Democrats Is a culture Fed on being envious Of others. Do I owe you Michael My earnings? Should not be up to the person to freely give of his wealth or should we legislate against those that have a good amount of wealth 2 4 fit over into the hands of the federal government?

It used to be that whomever won the political election held sway with their political platform, but not this time, it seems. The opposition disagrees strongly, and that polarization is keeping ANYTHING from getting done. Tell me, how is that not a ripoff for the majority? People feel like their will is being ignored, so they rightly wonder what the election meant, and they wonder why vote if elections don't have consequences?

Now Michael, you may see Mr Trump as nothing more than a greedy white man, but do you know his charitable donations? I'm sure he does more with his money to help Those in need Then let's say Joseph Biden? I owe you nothing nor do I owe the poor. God gave you two hands a mind and two feet, use them. This is all I have To say about Income equality. The Democrats Started the war on poverty The Democrats Are still at war with poverty. because of their blunders r now charging Americans that do well as greedy and insensitive.

Sure, do I think the Unions are always right? Hell no, I feel like they're always asking for more, but the common man has to band together, or their voices will be ignored individually. And I still say all the greed monsters run riot over everything that gets in their way, like law and order. Nothing you could say will ever convince me that one guy or woman is worth 30 or 40 million dollars for running a company, and often not very well, or even criminally.

So if a man or woman build a company, manage to survive and show some kind of success, $30 or $40 mill success that's a little over the top? Is it not restricting freedom when you go and apply for a job you have to join the union too? Is it right for unions to try and drive down Wal-Mart's business because their not union? Shouldn't you have to possess an ID to vote? Hell you have to have a state issued ID card anyways, it is the law. I don't think anyone is ignoring the election, but since you love facts so much, you need to look no further than "O" approval rating. It says it all. Over promise, under deliver. Borrowing the words of "O", the GOP didn't build that "O" did. Do you run a business? Because you make it sound so easy. Wealth creation is the by-product of job creation and the other way around. Answer my question, why do you feel that you have the right to money? Michael, on a different note, I think you can make a great book with Winifred. SOmething along the lines of starting out writing advise columns then being given a chance on radio. That would be fun. Hearing her advise over the airwaves. Anyways, racism is alive and well in the Democrat party. Don't think I like everything the Republican party is doing, I don't. Let you in on a little secret, at one time I liked "O", but that was only for a brief moment. God bless and happy writing!

Well every year the list of millionaires grows bigger. The government didn't create them. This was from hard work and defying the odds, but now people on the Left want to shame them for their success by taxing the piss out of them. I don't know about you, but I can do far better things with my money than some chasing the next election politician. Okay I'm done...

And I don't think I need money, but I'm glad to pay taxes, because without tax money, there'd be 10 ft. deep potholes in every road, because the government couldn't afford to fix them. Already we've seen what lack of infrastructure spending does. I think it was in Minnesota, but I'm not sure, a major highway bridge collapsed, and the people screamed, "Where is the government; how could they let this happen?" Well, I'll tell you how, the infrastructure spending that would have shored up that bridge has been blocked by the Republicans. That's what I mean when I say the American people are being ripped off by the Republican't's. They've blocked everything with Obama's name on it, and why? Because if things started to improve at all, Obama MAY get some of the credit. I also think that nobody is worth that much money when ordinary citizens our still struggling, and half of the time, the company is losing millions, and the CEO pulls the rip chord on his golden parachute, and drifts down for a soft landing, while the company nose dives into the ground. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with people making a lot of money, but not when you're pathetically incompetent at your job.
