Dear Winifred; Feb. 1A Story by Michael StevensAdvice NOT good!) columnWarning;
advice given is NOT politically correct!
"Dear Winifred, I find myself getting
very depressed this time of year, what with the constantly overcast and rainy
gloom. I try to cheer myself up with colorful
flowers or some other cheerful reminder of what's to come, but it never
lasts. Soon, I'm staring out the window,
looking longingly for a future that's nowhere to be found. The first snowfall is wonderful, but after
that I really could do without it.
Signed Longing for the Sun."
"Dear Longing for the Sun, you know
what I'm longing for? The end of this sniveling
letter. Look, we all get a little down
this time of year, but it aint going to do any good bitching about it. How do you think I feel? Here I am, freezing my figurative nuts off,
and what's the first thing that greets my eyes upon arrival in my freezing
office? Your whiny bullshit of a letter;
reminding me of the freezing crap. Just
get over it already! Winifred."
