Poem failure!

I'm going to use all my knowledge,

 

Everything I've learned in 51 years of living,

 

To write the most clever poem you've ever seen,

 

It should be easy; I mean, how hard can it be?

 

It always comes so easily, the point I'm trying to make

 

I will impress people with my writing skill

 

I will really make them think with my writing wit

 

Here I go, just watch me create!

 

24 lines later, and it's ready to post online

 

So I do; the sooner I get it posted,

 

The sooner the world will know of my skill

 

I call it up to look at it, and read through the text

 

Wait a minute; this is lame; what could I have been thinking?
