The Darkness VoidA Poem by Michael StevensNegative vs. positive withinThere's a place in my mind never warmed by the sun
A place where cobwebs gather and
darkness rules
It's a place I don't visit very
often; but I keep the key
Creaking virtual door hides the
black shadows
That reside there; I'm reluctant to
enter,
But sometimes I must; with
faltering steps
I reluctantly enter to face down my
darkest fears
And do battle with my positive self
for supremacy,
And shape which will ultimately win
control
