Dear Winifred; Feb. 23A Story by Michael StevensAdvice NOT good!) column
Warning;
advice given is NOT politically correct!
"Dear Winifred, I coach a team in a
parks and recreation basketball league, and some of the guys are showing up
drunk for our games and frankly, it makes me very angry. I feel they owe the other players on the team
their best effort, and when they're out there stumbling and almost falling down
they're so drunk, I feel like they're slapping everybody else on the team in
the face, and it makes me very angry. Ho
would you suggest I handle the situation?
Signed Let Down."
"Dear Let Down, I suggest you grab a
cup and join in. Good god, man, you talk
like this is the NBA or something; besides, if it was, the players there
understand that the everyone needs to blow off steam every once in a
while. Just because they wait until after the game, usually, before they
mainline heroin, or something, and they take precautions; by having a hooker
looking out for them by sleeping in the same hotel room. So they realize it's much more than a
game. But you vinyl siding salesmen or
whatever are paying to play, not getting paid, so loosen up there, slick; your
team is just a collection of weekend warriors trying to recapture a youth they
remember a certain way, but usually the reality goes right over their
heads. Winifred." © 2014 Michael StevensReviews
