Why? (The Father of This Beast!)

Creative? writing?

Why do I always seem to be a day late and a dollar short?

 

Well, with inflation, I guess it should be updated to a fiver?

 

I think of a great idea for a story, or it

 

Would have been, years ago!

 

If there's nothing new under the sun,

 

Why do I keep looking to find it? 

 

Why do I keep on writing when I've got nothing?

 

I'll only embarrass myself, but keep on I do,

 

Typing myself into a corner, from which

 

It's impossible to escape, but still I try,

 

Like magically, the way out will mysteriously appear,

 

When the reality is I'm only digging deeper,

 

Until the ludicrous plot line turns and

 

Attacks me, the father of this lame idea!
